This hitch lock is awesome. Does exactly what it's designed to do. The locking mechanism is smooth and solid. Highly recommended.

This pin holds a cover for my front receiver hitch on my truck. The packaging was difficult to open. (I dislike the clam shell design intensely). Once opened, it is not intuitive as to how it works. Most other pins I've used unscrew. This one just turns a fraction, them releases. It works well, though. It should keep the cover in place.
 Product doesn't fit my bike rack like the description said it would June 10, 2010

The description of this product is such, that one would believe it would fit the Swagman 2" Hitch type bike rack to lock it to the vehicle and prevent theft. It doesn't fit and is useless.

Description is a little deceiving. It states "The 5/8" pin fits all Class III, IV and V receiver hitches", but the pin is not long enough to go through my 2.5" Class V receiver. I had to return the item.

I had purchased a Master Lock receiver lock three years ago.
Even though it was chrome plated the dang thing rusted and then the locking mechanize got jammed even though I used WD-40 several time to keep it lubed.
So I replaced it with this Trimax unit and it looks awesome and it is not rusting. They key system is very unique but it also seems to be a much better design. It has been on my truck since fall of 2009. I trusted Master Lock for quality and they let me down. Try this Trimax unit and you wont be disappointed.
