Very high quality product. I wish it had been included with the Bed X-tender for my GMC pickup truck. If you have a tonneau cover with interior rails on your pickup truck, you will likely need this item as the standard brackets do not allow the X-tender frame to be flipped.

Easy access to the bed xtender November 13, 2009

I like these latches as they make it easy to remove it when I don't need the extender and works well with my bed cover where otherwise I wouldn't be able to use the bed xtender to the profile and bars of the bed cover. The reason I don't give these latches 5 stars is due to the fact that removing the xtender from the right side requires a bit more force. Maybe I installed the the latches wrong or the bed xtender is off a bit, regardless, I tries to adjust both and couldn't get it fixed. Still a good product. Allows me to use the bed to carry extra loads or even put groceries in there without take cabin space.

These are so cheaply made they broke the second time I removed the tailgate extender. The metal that they are made of is white metal and brittle. With them being so poorly made why would you trust them to secure your items from being lost out of your truck bed. I was lucky the Bestop 74605-01 AMP Research Bed X-Tender Mounting Kit with Quick Latch broke while removing the tailgate extender and not when I had something important in the bed of my truck. Save your money and don't purchase these until they decide to make them out of a better material that is stronger. I feel I got ripped off by Bestop. These cheaply made latch cost the same as the Nissan original equipment and the Nissan latch is far better. Go get yours from Nissan.
