3 out of 5 stars Would not work for me   August 11, 2010

I measured the space in my Buick Enclave and bought this to attach to the existing metal loops in the car. The net was too wide to attach - I think the minimum width stated in the product description should be larger.

So, I used the included mounts with the double sided sticky tape included. I followed all directions and even used a blow dryer to help heat the area in the car before attaching. The mounts fell off the car two days later and nothing was in the net. Do not depend on the sticky mounts to be reliable. Maybe they work on different types of vehicle materials - I don't know. I can not bring myself to drill a hole in the car and mount them that way - they would definitely stay in place then.

As for the net itself, it appears to be of good quality and would do a good job of securing small loads in the "hammock" if the mounts would stay attached. That is why I gave it three stars instead of a lower rating.

2 out of 5 stars Not great   August 7, 2010

This is not a true envelope style cargo net. You have to fold it to get the envelope style effect. The net is not very elastic, too wide and a little cheap. I am sure it will hold groceries but I doubt it will do to well.

3 out of 5 stars Not quite what I expected but ok   March 11, 2010

I wanted a cargo net so when I go grocery shopping the bags don't go flying all over the cargo area of my Mazda CX9. I purchase 2 of these thinking it would give me twice the space to put items. First of all you have to fold these in half to make the hammock net. The stretch cord is kinda flimsy but I just wrapped it twice around the hook I already have. The net itself is also flimsy. There is nothing to connect the bottom of the net so if I want to put items in between the two nets and I don't have something heavy in the nets the items can go/roll under them. I would return them because they are not exactly what I wanted, but my husband threw away the boxes they came in. If you're looking for a sturdy net, this is not the one.

5 out of 5 stars Very Nice Net   October 11, 2009

We bought this net to install in the trunk of a 2006 Mustang GT and it works beautifully.

We installed it using the included screws on both sides of the trunk (make sure you pick metal that is not part of the outer body!). We had the holes drilled and anchor points secured in about 15 minutes. It couldn't be easier. All you need is a drill, drill bit and phillips screwdriver.

We recommend installing the anchor points low in the trunk (intuition would suggest installing them high) so that the net will lay flat easily when you need to load luggage or large boxes in the trunk. The net lifts easy enough when you want to use it to keep smaller items from rolling around.

We would not recommend using the included tape for securing the anchor points - we didn't use it but we can't imagine tape being anywhere near as robust as screws.

In any case, this net is well worth the money and we recommend it highly. Quality, instruction readability, and net performance are all high.
